Heartsaver CPR

Description:
The Heartsaver CPR Course teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages.

Audience:
For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

Prerequisites:
Heartsaver CPR Student Workbook
Completion of pretest

BLS for Healthcare Provider Renewal Course

Description:
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers core materials such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation.

Audience:
For healthcare provides such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a credential documenting successful completion of a CPR course.

Prerequisites:
Heartsaver CPR Student Workbook
Completion of pretest

Skills Testing For BLS Healthcare Provider Online Renewal At The Queen’s Medical Center

Description/Audience:
The online BLS Renewal Course provides a review for healthcare professionals who have prior CPR training. This program recognizes that healthcare professionals have knowledge and skills acquired from prior CPR training and years of patient care.
Once the online (didactic) portion is completed, the skills validation portion must be completed at an authorized American Heart Association Training Center..

Prerequisites:
Completion of the online portion.
Download and print your “notice of completion” from the American Heart Association after you complete your online portion.  Bring it to your skills testing appointment
NOTE:  Skills testing for non-American Heart Association web based programs is NOT provided by the AHA Training Center at QMC.
